(replying four years later, but to make a point) I think this is going to be hard, because as far as I know, Stone Town isn't a formal entity from a census or administrative point of view. It's like saying "downtown". Zanzibaris even use "Stone Town" in a more restrictive way, i.e., people in Forodhani may give you directions to "go to Stone Town", as if Forodhani wasn't itself in Stone Town; they use it in a "downtown downtown" sense, i.e., at the "very centre", referring to the inner maze of coral stones houses you meet after passing the Old Fort from Forodhani. In practice, I think this article should emphasize Stone Town as a heritage site and cultural entity rather than a demographic or geographic entity. I am tempted to move climate data, as well as any population data, to Zanzibar City, where they would be more in context. Moongateclimber (talk) 13:39, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
