Place of Birth

Mongolia?! This is absurd. Of course, it's "confirmed" by Chris Marker himself, so it has to stay like this. But he has also told people that he's an expatriate American fighter pilot who crashed over France during WW2 and has lived there ever since. I'm not complaining -- the man himself is a wonderful mystery and an incredible philosopher -- I just think that reporting "Mongolia" as his place of birth in such a matter-of-fact way is rather disingenuous. - Lontano (talk) 12:20, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jack Ellis in his documentary history says he was born in a suburb of Paris 74.71.28.133 (talk) 21:06, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
