JSC Moscow Airlines (Template:Lang-ru) is an airline based in Moscow, Russia, operating domestic and international passenger and cargo flights out of Vnukovo International Airport.
History
The airline was founded as Atlant-Soyuz Airlines (Template:Lang-ru) and started operations in June 1993. In 2007, the company was owned by private investors (75%) and the City of Moscow (25%) and had 726 employees[1]. Initial plans for a joint-venture with US-based cargo airline Evergreen International Airlines where brought forth in 2007, but never materialized.[2]
On 17 September 2010, the airline was rebranded as Moscow Airlines.[3]

Cargo
Moscow Airlines offers a wide range of chartered cargo flights throughout Russia, Asia, Africa, and Europe, which are operated with Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft.[citation needed]
Fleet
As of November 2010, Moscow Airlines operates a fleet of 8 Boeing aircraft, which are used for the scheduled passenger flights.[5] Additionally, it owns several Tupolev and Ilyushin aircraft, which mostly serve on charter routes. The airline placed an important order for a total of 30 aircraft of the recently introduced Antonov An-148 type, which are planned to be delivered between 2010 and 2012.[citation needed]
