Elizabeth Southwell

Lady Elizabeth Cromwell, 8th Baroness Cromwell of Oakham (d. 1709) was an English noblewoman, the only daughter of Vere Essex Cromwell, 4th Earl of Ardglass and Catherine Hamilton.

Life

She succeeded her father in his title of Baron Cromwell, in the Peerage of England (1540).

Marriage and issue

She married Edward Southwell, son of Robert Southwell (d. 1702) and Elizabeth Dering, and had a son Edward Southwell (1 June 1705 - 16 March 1755), who married on 21 August 1729 Catherine Watson (d. April 1765), daughter of Edward Watson, Viscount Sondes and Lady Catherine Tufton, and had Edward Southwell, 20th Baron de Clifford.
