Ershad-Uz-Zaman or simply known as Ershad (born July 4, 1980) is a Bangladeshi musician who achieved fame as the lead guitarist and a lyricist of progressive rock band Artcell. He is known for his progressive rock-influenced guitar playing and versatile style of compositions.[1]
Musical Career
With Band
Ershad is one of the most popular guitarists and the young craze of Bangladesh. Being a great lover of music and guitar, he used to play the guitar since the age of seven. Later he used to play Metallica songs with the other three members of Artcell. Finally they decided to form a band. The name Artcell was given by him.
Solo
Ershad has never worked as a solo artist. But recently he has revealed that he has always dreamt to release a musical solo album with some of his compositions that doesn't go with Artcell. He has got a bunch of lovely acoustic compositions consisting of melodious tunes and finger-pickings with some classical elements.
Influences
Apart from heavy metal music, he is influenced by Jazz and Classical music.

Ershad is a fan of bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Symphony X, Opeth, Liquid Tension Experiment, Ayreon, Metallica, Dream Theater, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Pantera etc. Last but not the least, he is a fan of Artcell.
Guitarists
His favourite guitarists are Michael Romeo, Marty Friedman, Al Di Meola, Yngwie Malmsteen, Franco Morone, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Vinnie Moore. He is also a great fan of Mark Knopfler. He has a composition of his own named T.T.M.K., that stands for Tribute To Mark Knopfler.

Education and Personal Life
Ershad has completed BBA from IUB (Independent University of Bangladesh). Now he is working at Bangla Trac Communications. During his leisure, Ershad loves to listen music and read books. He also loves to eat, sleep, spend time with friends and play FIFA. He loves to play various instruments specially nylon-string guitars. These days he is thinking for MBA. He is a divorced .
