Pilgrim High School (also known as Pilgrim, or PHS) is a 9-12th grade secondary school in Warwick, Rhode Island. The school is one floor and features various wings of classes, mainly divided by subject (100s, 200s, 300s, etc.). The School logo is the shape of a minuteman head formed by the words "Pilgrim High School Patriots", although a black or gold "P" is used for most athletic teams. School colors are black, gold (or yellow), and white. The school has an enrollment of over one thousand students and its principal is Dennis Mullen.

The school has several famous alumni including the Emmy Award winning actor James Woods (Class of '65), College All-American, Olympian and two-time Stanley Cup winning NHL goalie Chris Terreri (Class of '82), PGA professional golfer Patrick Sheehan (Class of '87) and Major League Baseball pitcher Dan Wheeler (Class of '95).

Clubs and activities

Student clubs active at Pilgrim High School include Academic Decathlon, Amnesty International, Mock Trial, Model Legislature, Chorus, Chorale, Vocal Jazz, Women's Choir, Band, Jazz Band, Drama (The Pilgrim Players), Third Eye, Students Against Drunk Driving, and Protect Your Circle.

School rivals are Warwick Vets and Tollgate. In 1994 after Spring vacation asbestos was found throughout Pilgrim High School. Students were bussed to Warwick Vets from 12p-5p for classes for at least a month. Two teachers were arrested at this time for breaking into the school to get books and students work. More likely it was a attempt for to awful teachers Mr. Crater and Mrs. Nagle to pile work on to kids. Since they were two disgusting filthy excuses for life. Also in the 90's there was a gym teacher ( Dennis Lyons ) who was suspended with pay 3 times for assulting students. Not to mention two male teachers accused of being a bit to friendly with the female students.

School also has an early childhood learning center (with some local opinion that this is located at this school due to its high teenage pregnancy rate) and a large special education department. Also, Pilgrim has the lowest arrest rate of public high schools in Warwick.

Sports

Pilgrim sports programs include: Bowling, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Cross Country, Track and Field, Tennis, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Wrestling, Golf, Volleyball, Cheerleading and Swimming.
