Football Career
Privat began his career with Sochaux in 2002, but moved to FC Marmandais, where he was watched by Sochaux scouts, until moving to the famous Sochaux academy in late 2005. He was apart of Sochaux's youth squad that won the Coupe Gambardella in 2007. Included on that squad were current teammates Frédéric Duplus, Geoffrey Tulasne, and Vincent Nogueira. He made his professional debut on December 22, 2007 in a 0–1 loss to Bordeaux coming on as a late match substitute.[1]That would be his only appearance of the 2007–08 season.
For the 2008–09 season, he was given the first-team number 15. He made his first career start on September 14, 2008 against Lille OSC.[2]In the match, he scored his first goal for Sochaux giving them a 1–0 lead, however the match would end in a 1–1 draw. He signed his first professional contract on December 12, 2008. His contract runs until 2012.[3]On February 5, 2009, he earned his first call-up to the France under-21 team.
