Samara Time (SAMT) was the time zone 4 hours ahead of UTC (UTC+4) and 1 hour ahead of Moscow Time (MSK+1). Samara Summer Time (SAMST) was UTC+5. Samara Time was used in Samara Oblast and Udmurtia before the Russia's time zone reforms of 28 March 2010.
On March 28, 2010, while most regions of Russia switched to Summer Time moving the clocks one hour forth, the only two Russian regions using Samara Time retained UTC+4, effectively joining Moscow Summer Time. This made Samara Time obsolete (unused)[1][2].
