The Universities Admissions Centre (NSW & ACT) Pty Ltd (UAC) is the organisation that processes centralised applications for admission to tertiary education courses at participating institutions, mainly in NSW and the ACT. A not-for-profit company incorporated in July 1995, it has offices located at Sydney Olympic Park.
UAC notifies current NSW HSC students of their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), and processes applications for admission to many postgraduate courses.
In addition, it:
- administers tertiary admissions tests such as the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
- processes applications for Educational Access Schemes (EAS), and for some Equity Scholarships
- produces a range of print and online publications including admission requirements and course information for potential applicants.
UAC provides an online applications process called Apply, as well as a Check & Change facility allowing applicants to view and amend their application details. For more information on UAC, its tertiary courses and study options, admissions and key dates, visit UAC’s website
