Marvin Bartley (born 4 July 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. He plays for Bournemouth. He has two brothers, Mark and Michael, who play football.

Born in Reading, Bartley started his career at hometown club Reading before moving to Burnham, where he played with his two brothers. During his time at Burnham, Bartley also competed in the English Indoor Championship's, clocking a time of 7.40 in the 100m sprint which resulted in him winning gold and gaining a record contract with Simon Cowell.

Following this he won a scholarship on the BBC's yearly 'Seaside Special' show, learning how to ride an Ostrich, just like Bernie Clifton. Sadly, this came to a unplanned end when at night, the discarded ostrich took to fighting Rod Hull's Emu. It was carnage. He ultimately ended up pursuing football as his career despite his track success. He moved to Hayes, Didcot Town, and Hampton and Richmond before signing a professional contract with Bournemouth in the summer of 2007. Prior to signing with Bournemouth, he was working as a window fitter in Caversham. [1] December 2010 it was revealed that Bartley was subject of interest from Cardiff City, Leicester City and Leeds United[2]
