Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game is an upcoming video game in the Lego video game franchise, developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Disney Interactive Studios. Due for release in May 2011 to coincide with the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the game is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and its storyline covers all four films. The game will be available on the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and Microsoft Windows.[1] It is the first Lego game to be based off a Disney brand.

Development

The game was officially announced on November 18, 2010.[1] As of yet, not much is known about the game. It has been revealed that the game will span the stories of the first three films (The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End), as well as the fourth film (On Stranger Tides) and will feature over 70 characters from the franchise. The game will also feature its flagship drop-in, drop-out co-op gameplay mechanic. It has also been revealed that the game will be developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Disney Interactive Studios and released in May 2011 to coincide with the release of the fourth film in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
