Frederick Evered Lunt was the 9th Anglican Bishop of Stepney from 1957[1] until 1958[2]. He was born in 1900 [3] and educated at University College, Durham before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with a Curacy at Maidenhead. After an incumbency at Ely he rose steadily in the Church’s hierarchy to be Dean of Bristol before elevation to the Episcopate in 1957, a post he held until retirement. Elected a Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge in 1966 he died in 1982.
