Re: Pens
While I agree that it would be a surprise if he is not selected, everything on WP should be verifiable and cited to a Reliable source. I am sure that they will release some sort of statement before the season starts. But you never know, he could get hurt during the pre-season and never play, which means he won't be the captain. Blackngold29 22:45, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- We didn't have a captain that year by choice. If he get's hurt they'll pick a new one. Why is it so difficult to wait for the announcement? Blackngold29 01:06, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- He is not captain now, there are no rosters during the off-season, so how is he captain? It's been discussed at Talk:List of current NHL captains and alternate captains and WP:HOCKEY but you can bring it up again if you want, no other team has one listed. Blackngold29 01:55, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

The SNIyer 12 problem
I believe the best way to get action against that guy, would be to report him at Wikipedia: Administrator's noticeboard/Incidents. -- GoodDay (talk) 16:22, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Here's the place to go. GoodDay (talk) 19:38, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- I applaud your patients. I've only run into that editor 'yesterday' & already I'm peeved with his obtuseness or mock-obtuseness. GoodDay (talk) 19:59, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
A miracle just occured at Talk:1994 World Series. -- GoodDay (talk) 20:24, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- But do you believe in miracles? :D (and without looking I reserve the right to retract any and all belief if it's somehow related to the Rangers or Vancouver because Toronto the league's only Canadian team had won the two previous WS....) –ConkblockCity (talk) 20:30, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- The miracle-in-question, was SNIyer responding therer. PS: He's been momentarily 'blocked'. GoodDay (talk) 20:36, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps he'll want me blocked for Wiki-stalking. GoodDay (talk) 21:28, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Now that SNIyer's block has expired? Hopefully, he'll not be so snubbish towards others. GoodDay (talk) 23:13, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I believe it's the 1st ANI report, I've made. GoodDay (talk) 21:52, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Some advice
If SNIyer causes further article disruptions & refuses to respond to pleas? Report to ANI (and let him know of it). In the meantime, don't pull your hair out over the fact he doesen't collaborate. I've known other editors, who 'refuse' to socialize. GoodDay (talk) 23:24, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary
Hi! Since you're listed as a Wikipedian in Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!--ragesoss (talk) 15:07, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
