You are attempting to contact SineBot, which is an automated program (i.e., a "robot" or "bot").

If you have a bug to report, do not post it here, instead:

Thanks a million. :)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Comment
  1. Why does SineBot keep signing stuff I've already signed?
All comments should have a signature that includes both a link to your user page (slakr) and a datestamp (05:12, 20 August 2007 (UTC)) (per signatures - internal links). This is most easily generated by placing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your contributions, which makes something like "slakr 05:12, 20 August 2007 (UTC)". If you're still having problems after trying that, post a message to slakr.[reply]
  2. I do sign using ~~~~, but the result includes my username as plain text, not as a link.
You have probably changed the format of your signature. Go to "my preferences", then the "User profile" tab, and check the "Signature" field and the "Treat the above as wiki markup" checkbox. If "Treat the above as wiki markup" is checked, then the "Signature" field should contain wikicode, including something like [[User:Your Username|Your Username]]. If "Treat the above as wiki markup" is unchecked, then the "Signature" field should not contain wikicode.
  3. I don't want my comments signed by SineBot. How do I get it to ignore me or my talk page?
Please use one of the opt-out methods listed on its user page.
  4. SineBot forgot to sign something it should have signed.
Usually this happens because the bot isn't sure if it really should sign something, so it defaults to not signing it (e.g., in cases of complex edits). It does this to avoid being annoying. Other times, a comment might be made when the bot is down for maintenance, so the bot simply never sees it.
  5. SineBot signed something that it genuinely should not have signed.
Please let slakr know-- especially if you think it's not a one-time thing.

Uh Oh,

I'm terribly sorry that i've missunderstood. You have taught me a good lesson today. To always sign your username initials when you are on another user's talk page. I thank you very much with greed and promise.

From Rhiannon

Hello

Thanks for letting me know on how I proceed to my message, and another thing that I want to know, is there any other way that I could delete my own user page, because it's no point on me being here, I don't belong here, all I've tried to do is writing down and uploading things on pages to let everyone know what the article is about, but, I don't think I should be here on Wikipedia, is there anyway I could delete my own user account?

Goodbye

I hear you loud n clear. Wiki doesn't want expertise! Expertise is all around us, and if you add something out of the -- obscenity alert! -- ♥ Goodness of your Heart ♥ -- when you have other things to do, Little Brother Wiki comes along to tell you it was a priori Not Germane.

!nosine!

!nosine! "anywhere in the edit summary" isn't working as advertised. I must say that I detest this little bot as much as any bit of automation I've ever encountered anywhere on the internet, and I'm including that dastardly virus I got back in 2004 that filled my screen with IE popups.

On a related note, what are you supposed to do for input fields (like this one) without an associated edit summary?

I think this evil, cretinous little beast ought to be taught to ignore unsigned contributions from IP addresses. The mechanism afforded us to get it to leave us alone is onerous and, apparently, unreliable.

Complexity and poor design

Why would one need to insert text after an edit. When in fact the webserver knows when and what actions I performed; Talk or not. This is an extra step that the webserver should be able to take care of.

Signing in this fashion just adds to complexity. Having more complexity will lead to less use of the system.

Look at a Code Versioning Repository, for example Subversion "SVN", or GIT. The system know the difference of edits or delta I perform from the edits another developer is performing.

do not post it here??

No! For accountability of the "Bot" or "Robot", comments should be posted HERE. So there is a running history of discussion only associated with this "Bot".

thanks for remindor, but signature changed

I changed my signature, that's probibly the system thinks i did not sign, but thanks for reminding me anyway. Regards, N.I.M. I miss you Elena Apostoleanu go behind the line. 19:00, 1 January 2011 (UTC) Stop automaticly signing my posts, my signature is N.I.M., I miss you Elena Apostoleanu go behind the line, like this N.I.M. I miss you Elena Apostoleanu go behind the line. 20:01, 1 January 2011 (UTC) , so there's no good reason to autosign my posts. Once again, that's N.I.M., which stands for Nissae Isen's Man, I miss you, which is my way of telling Nissae Isen wherever she is that i miss her, and the Elena Apostoleanu go behind the line is a funny line i created, naming it after Inna, the romanian singer who named herself after a galaxy. N.I.M. I miss you Elena Apostoleanu go behind the line. 20:03, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

if that's not good, then there's Cuddlyable3 (talk) 02:03, 3 January 2011 (UTC), or MildredSturgeon (talk) 02:14, 3 January 2011 (UTC) Just kidding, but what i am going for is a funny line. Lots of users seem to do that, will that effect my posts negatively? Not the joke, but this one? N.I.M. I miss you nissae! Elena Apostoleanu go behind the line 09:31, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
