Geoff Fox (born 1950) is a television meteorologist who was formerly with NewsChannel 8, WTNH, the New Haven, Connecticut ABC-TV affiliate.

Fox was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Flushing, NY. He attended New York City public schools, including Brooklyn Technical High School, and later attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

After 11 years in radio (in Fall River, Massachusetts, Palm Beach, Florida, Charlotte, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Fox began reporting weather on television station WIVB in Buffalo, New York, where he also hosted a local version of the nationally syndicated TV program PM Magazine. He moved to WTNH in New Haven, CT in 1984.

Fox received a certificate in broadcast meteorology, with academic honors, from Mississippi State University in 2005. He later received the American Meteorological Society's Broadcast Seal of Approval.

He is the recipient of seven Boston/New England regional Emmy awards, and has perennially won the Best TV Personality award in the New Haven Advocate. In addition to his on-air activities, Fox is a frequent host of charity events and has been associated with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, March of Dimes and Connecticut Association of Schools for more than a decade.

Geoff is also a Ham Radio operator. His current call sign is K1GF, he was formerly WA1U.

On January 5th, 2011, Fox was informed by WTNH Management that his contract would not be renewed at the end of February.[1]

Television personality

Fox has had brief stints on ABC's Good Morning America and covered the New York Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for ABC News. He also hosted four seasons of Inside Space, a science fact show, on the SciFi Channel.
