The 2011 World Men's Handball Championship, the 22nd event hosted by the International Handball Federation, are being held in Sweden from 13–30 January, 2011.

24 teams from all the world's continents are participating. Host broadcaster is the Swedish commercial network TV4 Sport and will sell television rights to other countries. The tournament returned to Sweden after 18 years, currently the longest absence in history.

The Championship begins with the preliminary round – four groups of six teams each. Continuing are two main round groups. The Final, and one of two semifinals, are going to be hosted in Malmö Arena in the southernmost of Sweden. The second semifinal are to be played in Kristianstad Arena.
