Midland County is a county located in the U.S. State of Michigan. As of 2000, the population is 82,874.
Geography
The county has a total area of 1,367 km2 (528 mi2). 1,350 km2 (521 mi2) of it is land and 17 km2 (7 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 1.27% water.

As of 2000, there are 82,874 people, 31,769 households, and 22,683 families residing in the county. The population density is 61/km2 (159/mi2). There are 33,796 housing units at an average density of 25 persons/km2 (65 persons/mi2). The racial makeup of the county is 95.50% White, 1.05% African American, 0.40% Native American, 1.49% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.44% from other races, and 1.09% from two or more races. 1.55% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 31,769 households out of which 34.90% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.10% are married couples living together, 8.10% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 28.60% are non-families. 23.50% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.00% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
