Barbe or Barbé is a surname, and may refer to:

barbe-Unabridged Uncommon meaning:
1) Defensive armour for a horse, or in times of peace or in tournament - decorative.
2) A neckerchief or veil, used at funeral solemnities, which was worn by diffrent ranks on person's of distinction, it was tied above the chin, and hence it was called a barb, from the resemblance to a beard.
