India News TV Channel is a Hindi language Indian TV news channel. The Channel is run by Kartikeya Sharma, son of former Union Minister Venod Sharma. The Indian company ITV Media Group runs the channel.
About
The network broadcasts 24-hour a day, all throughout the year. With its strong content and wide network of proficient reporters and stringers, the channel stands firm on the foundations of its motto, "Sach Jo Aap Jaanana Chahte Hain", 'the truth you want to know'. The channel caters to a wide range of audiences with a varied mix of programmes like Latest News, Exclusive Interviews, Event Coverage, Entertainment, Business, Sports, Lifestyle, Weather, Travel, Fashion Shows, Crime, Real Estate, Market, Politics and other such Programs that focus on public affairs. Characterized by the unbounden energy and vigour of youth, Mr Kartikeya Sharma has created this entire organization within a short span.
Managing Director
Kartikeya Sharma, the Managing Director of ITV Media Group, is a man of many attributes and interests. After finishing his BSc. Honours in Business Management from Oxford University, he went on to complete his MBA from King’s College, London.
Characterized by the unbounden energy and vigour of youth, Mr Kartikeya Sharma has created this entire organization within a short span. Under his guidance, the channel stands firm on its motto "Sach Jo Aap Jaanana Chahte Hain".
As a part of his expansion plans, he has already launched the regional channels in Haryana and Bihar. The regional channels for Rajasthan and the Uttar Pradesh are in the pipeline, and will come up soon.
Editor
Raveen Thukral, who has more than two decades’ experience in journalism, has served at senior positions in major publications, including Hindustan (18 years) and The Tribune. He is also the Editor of the group’s Hindi paper, Aaj Samaj, published from Chandigarh.
Under Thukral’s leadership, both India News Haryana and Aaj Samaj had achieved the No. 1 position in a span of less than one year. While the newspaper sold more than any other publication in Chandigarh and Ambala, the Haryana channel had a wide viewership and the highest TRPs amongst the regional channels in the state, he claimed.
The Studio Facilities
India News has 11 studios at strategic locations across the country and several mobile studios to bring live coverage. Mumbai would be the second big hub for the channel, with facilities equivalent to Delhi.
Sister concerns
Good Morning India and Information TV (ITV) are the two media companies set up by Kartikeya Sharma recently. The two print ventures i.e ‘Aaj Samaj’, and a Hindi magazine, ‘India News’ are a part of the Good Morning India. The Other two sister concerns are "India News Media Academy" and "Research India Organization"
