Ghost of the Robot is a rock band, based in southern California. It is most famous due to its lead singer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor James Marsters.

The band was formed in April 2002. Its members are Charlie DeMars (guitar and vocals), Aaron Anderson (drums and vocals), James Marsters (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), Steve Sellers (keyboards and vocals), and Kevin McPherson (bass). The band has recorded one album, Mad Brilliant, and two songs from this have been released as singles. A third single will be released on April 1 2004.

Marsters sings lead vocal on most of the Mad Brilliant songs, with other band members singing backing. Sellers sang Mefiant on their David Letterman single and DeMars did Sounds Like A Personal Problem on the same disk.
