Biography

He was a born in Hyderabad, India and is the brother of Lt Gen Jameel Mahmood, ex-General Officer Commander-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Eastern Command of the Indian Army.

He is a relative of of Lt Gen(retd.) Mohammad Ahmed Zaki of the Indian Army.
