Grinnell College

On your adding Bennett Bean as a Prominent alumni of Grinnell College, I'd like to point out that he transferred out of Grinnell before he graduated, therefore he is not considered and alumnus of Grinnell! thatha 05:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I was following the standing Wikipedia definition of alumnus, which means a former student of an institution. This is a standard definition of the term. As the "alumnus" article points out, equating "alumnus" with "graduate" is a misconception. Having said that, I don't particularly care how Grinnell defines its alumni. --Klmarcus 13:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
