Ear instillation is the process of introducing otic medication or solution into the ear. It involves proper care in delivering solutions for the ear.

INDICATIONS FOR EAR INSTILLATION

1. patients with Otitis Media

2. patients with Otitis Externa

3. patients with impacted cerumen

4. patients with foreign body obstruction(tick infestation)

CONTRAINDICATIONS OF EAR INSTILLATION 1. hypersensitivity to the solution

2. perforated eardrum
