Matthew Busche

Matthew Busche (born 9 May 1985) is a professional cyclist for Team RadioShack[1]. In 2009, he gained notoriety for his rapid rise from Wisconsin-based amateur team "Nova Cycle Sport (IS Corp) Foundation" to continental-pro team "Kelly Benefit Strategies" and then on to Team RadioShack within the course of one season [2], [3], [4], .

Personal Life

Busche grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He was a two-time All-American in cross country and a national qualifier in the 3000 m steeplechase in track. He currently trains and lives in Girona, Spain with his wife, Lisa.

Cycling Career

With Team RadioShack, Busche had his first Pro Tour Podium finish when he took 3rd overall in the 2010 Tour of Denmark [5], [6].
