Metamood is a term used by psychologists to refers to an individual's awareness of their emotions.[1] It can be described as being caught up in any emotion and then becoming aware that you are being swept away by it. Being able to pull back in the mist of an emotion, and in that moment recognize what you are feeling is a phenomenal skill. Also, it is a difficult one to acquire because quite often, emotions can be disguised by another.[1]
