"BEP Empire / Get Original" is the first single from The Black Eyed Peas second studio album, Bridging the Gap.[1] The single was released on August 8, 2000, reaching #44 on the Hot Rap Singles Chart. The single is the group's first and only double A-side single. The CD single was only released in Europe and was not available on any other markets. The song did not chart on the UK Singles Chart.
Music videos
The concept of the music video for B.E.P Empire is an infomercial advertising a fictional "Hip Hop Set".[2] The music video for "Get Original" was set in an empty canyon. The Black Eyed Peas are seen singing and break dancing in the video. Chali 2na is not featured in the video. Taboo raps a new verse in his place.[3]
