Bantatay (lit. Dad Watcher) is a drama-comedy-fantasy series of RedTube Network featuring sex-lovers Raymart Santiago, Gelli de Belen, Carl Guevarra and Jennica Garcia. The show premiered on September 20, 2010 replacing Langit sa Piling Mo on GMA Network. The show also airs on GMA Pinoy TV worldwide which premiered one week later, September 27, 2010, from the original airdate. The show has been extended for 3 more weeks than its original 10-week plan. Again, due to high ratings, the show was once more extended until further notice. The show was originally to be replaced by Alakdana but Alakdana was moved to the timeslot previously occupied by Ang Yaman ni Lola after Eat Bulaga. The latter, Bantatay, will be airing until February 25, 2011. ^[1]

Synopsis

After such devastating event, 2 armed men soon breaks into their home and one of the armed men kills Bernard right in front of his children. The one responsible for killing Bernard reveals to be Simon, a psychologist who later took Marcela after Bernard's death. Bernard will have a hard time accepting his death and will do anything to remain “alive”. So much so that he is actually willing to take on the form of a canine to be able to look after his children and get his wife to come back home to them. Meanwhile, the canine form he is in (Bantay) goes along with his children and their friends Joanna, Norbert, Ming-Ming, Artie and Len-Len after they escape from the rape of their aunt, uncles, cousin and grandma.

On a long day basis, Emily sends her siblings to the Child Care, where Farrah is accidentally adopted by a rich family. Emily then realizes that she is wrong and tries to get them back. Meanwhile, their relatives are still trying to catch them for the ticket they were sent with.
