History
El Paso Electric may have a history, but now has a history of leaving thousands without power in Las Cruces, and cutting power in and out without warning. They also let some balloons cut the power to thousands of people and hundreds of businesses on Valentines day 2011. Their customer satisfaction is pathetic.
Transmission System
El Paso Electric transmission system voltages are 115,000 volts and 345,000 volts. There are also two 230 KV interconnections with Mexico to the south.
