Geoff Eigenmann (born March 24, 1985) is a Filipino actor notable for his performances in television, he is a member of the Eigenmann showbiz clan. He started out with GMA Network as part of a joint drama series with TAPE Productions and later was part of ABS-CBN's Star Magic and starred in their shows. After his contract has expired, he later moved back to GMA-7 and was chosen by GMA Network to replace JC De Vera[1] in a role for the late-night drama anthology, SRO Cinema Serye (first known as Obra).

Biography

He was born Geoffrey Michael A. Eigenmann on March 23, 1985. A third generation of the Mesa-Gil clan of actors. Grandparents are Music Icon Eddie Mesa and actress Rosemarie Gil. Son of award winning Filipino actors Michael De Mesa & Gina Alajar. He has two siblings: older brother Ryan Eigenmann (actor), and younger brother AJ Eigenmann (actor). Nephew of renowed Filipino actors Mark Gil and Cherie Gil. Cousin of actors Gabby Eigenmann and Sid Lucero (Tim Eigenmann), Andrea "Andi" Eigenmann, Maxine Eigenmann.

Personal life

He is good friends with co-actors Dingdong Dantes, Luis Manzano & John Prats. Formerly paired on-screen with actress Anne Curtis, Heart Evangelista and Nikki Gil. He is currently in a relationship with his on-screen sweetheart Carla Abellana. He is of Swiss descent on his father's side and Chinese descent on his mother's side.

Education

Geoff attended International Christian Academy for middle school same as his brother Ryan. Eigenmann graduated high school from Shekinah Christian Training Center in March 2002, becoming an alumnus of SCTC.

Hosting

Aside from Rosalinda, Geoff has formerly co-hosted for ASAP and a reality variety talent show Palmolive Circle Of 10 on ABS-CBN 2, then he also formerly hosted as a VJ of MYX from 2005 to 2007, and Geoff transferred to GMA 7 and he formerly hosted SOP Rules from 2008 to 2010, and now currently is now mainstay host Party Pilipinas on GMA 7 from 2010 to present.

Current TV career

Later, Eigenman was back in his home network GMA Network via SRO Cinemaserye in June 2008.[2]

The SRO Cinemaserye: Ganti Ng Puso just recently ended and Geoff was supposed to appear again via Sine Novela: Kung Aagawin Mo Man Ang Lahat Sa Akin[3] but he was replaced by JC Tiuseco to work with Maxene Magalona.

Currently, he's playing the role of Fernando Jose working as leading man to Carla Abellana in the Filipino version of Rosalinda.

His recent project will be a Romantic-Comedy episode of SRO Cinemaserye together with her on-screen sweetheart Carla Abellana. They will work for the second time around together with their parents, Mr. Rey "PJ" Abellana and Ms. Gina Alajar respectively.

Eigenmann's recent project will be a fantaserye with his loveteam Carla Abellana in a new fantaserye, The Last Prince, with co-stars Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal.

Geoff was also a guest judge in a newest GMA Talent Show, Diz Iz It, the show was hosted by comedian Bayani Agbayani, Ehra Madrigal and others.

Geoff returns to drama via Sine Novela Presents: Basahang Ginto, with his co-love team, Carla Abellana.

Geoff recently guested in a Drama Anthology with fellow former "Ang TV" star Claudine Barreto entitled "Claudine Presents: Fraternity" aired last June 2010 on GMA 7.

Geoff is formerly a part of his new GMA drama fantaserye series, "Grazilda" with his recent co-star Glaiza De Castro, which he plays a modern prince charming to search his new princess and rescue her from rival arch villains.

Geoff is also guested in a sitcom Show Me Da Manny also on GMA which he plays Jejemonyo, a Jejemon Devil mixed combined.

Geoff is also recently part of a reality show with his co-love team and partner Carla Abellana for their newest GMA Christmas Reality Show, Puso Ng Pasko: Artista Challenge, meanwhile, Geoff's former love team and now long time friend Heart Evangelista was now paired with new comer Ervic Vijandre. This was Geoff & Carla's 5th time team up since their last one from Basahang Ginto

Geoff will also seen soon via 2 new line up of shows for 2011 on GMA are a comedy fantaserye, Magic Palayok with his current love team co-star Carla Abellana, and action adventure fantaserye Amaya with his new co-star Marian Rivera.

Movie career

Geoff is a former contract star of Star Cinema, his first movie was "Bcoz Of U" with his former loveteam Heart Evangelista, his sophormore movie was a comedy "First Day High", based from a deoderant commercial Rexona with his former Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Jason Abalos, Carla Humpries & Maja Salvador. His 3rd movie and his 1st indie film was Anak Ni Brocka with the late hip hop artist Francis Magalona in 2005. His 4th movie was "For The First Time" with fellow Kapuso star Richard Gutierrez and Kapamilya Star KC Concepcion, and his last movie for Star Cinema was a horror thriller movie "Villa Estrella" also with Maja Salvador, Shaina Magdayao & John Estrada. He's now a contract star with GMA Films, his 5th movie and very first movie for GMA Films was "Ang Panday" with fellow Kapuso stars Sen. Bong Revilla, Buboy Villar & Rhian Ramos, a co-production with Imus Productions, the movie Ang Panday is also part of the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival which the movie also won as 1st Place Best Festival Picture. This was Geoff's 6th movie all in all.
