It was released on February 15, 2011 on iTunes.[1] On iTunes it was released as the seventh single, but officially it is released as the fifth single.
This song was featured in the episode "Big Time Girlfriends".[2] It's music video was also played near the end of the episode. The band performed the song on The View February 21, 2011.
The band are performing the song with Snoop Dogg at the Kids Choice Awards 2011.
Boyfriend is gaining at Top 40 and Rhythmic radio and has reached number 80 on US iTunes.
