Read the Native American article. The term is inclusive covering all of North and South America, while First Nations is exclusive, covering only Canada. Therefore she is both. Yworo (talk) 14:15, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, she is Cree, a nation which spans and is independent of both US and Canada. Yworo (talk) 14:19, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really get this distinction either, but the people who argue about this from the Canadian side insist on "First Nations." This is apparently how the categories are set up. But ah well, I won't quibble about this. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 16:46, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure they are probably perfectly right for tribes contained completely in one country or the other. :-) Yworo (talk) 18:16, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for catching my mistake. I was trying to NPOV the recent addition to article, but I have no attachment to my version. If you think it needs further modification, do please make any changes you think are best. Many thanks, --TeaDrinker (talk) 05:51, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
