Gantyada
Template:Infobox Indian jurisdiction Gantyada is a village and a Mandal in Vizianagaram district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1] This village is Mandal's head quarter of Gantyada Mandal.It is 12 Km Distant from Vizianagaram Collector office and beside the road line from Vizianagaram to Srungavarapukota.It is provided with Police station,Hospital,Post office as it is head quarter of that mandal.The occupation of most of Gantyada people is cultivation.
Demography
Gantyada mandal had a population of 67,606 in 2001. Males constitute 33,943 and females 33,663 of the population. The average literacy rate is 55%. Male literacy rate is 66% and that of females 43%.
Features
- Thatipudi Reservoir Project,[2] constructed across River Gosthani, is located near Tatipudi village, to irrigate a total ayacut of 15,378 acres (62.23 km2) in Vizianagaram District and to provide drinking water to Visakhapatnam City.
