The Primera "C", is the tournament of the third division in DIMAYOR aka. Futbol Profesional Colombiano. This tournament is organized by Difutbol (División Aficionada del Fútbol Colombiano).

Since 2002, season in which the tournament was not played, caused by administrative and economic reasons, the Primera C stopped the connection between DIMAYOR by which since 2003 there would not be a promotion to the Second Division, likewise how it happened back in 1991.

This tournament was played by reserves of the major competing teams, to give them the opportunity to show themselves to the people and their teams, in case a certain team gets a championship it would not have the right to advance to the Second Division.
