Korra is a fictional character in the television series The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra. She is voiced by Janet Varney[3].
Plot overview
Korra is the avatar succeeding Avatar Aang. She was born into the Southern Water Tribe about 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Korra already mastered the other three elements, but still needs to learn Airbending. She lives in Republic City, a city in which Waterbenders, Earthbenders, Firebenders, and Aang's child, an Airbender, Tenzin, live together in peace. However, recently, crime has been rampant and there is an anti-bender revolt going on in the city, which serves as a challenge for Korra and, possibly, Tenzin and other characters who are still unknown.[4]
Personality
Korra is expected to be a very feisty avatar. It also seems that she may be, in many ways, Aangs opposite. Aang was a traveling, freespirited, peaceful person, while Korra is inteded to be "tough, strongheaded, and combative." However, she is also going to have a very good sense of humor. She is also intended to have some of the typical qualities of an ordinary teenager.[5]
Skills
Korra is expected to be a very powerful bender, using waterbending moves that were previously near-obselete. Her Earthbending and Firebending skills are unknown, and her airbending skills are developing.[6]
