Based in Quebec City and founded in 2003, Frima Studio is a Canadian multiplatform game developer. The company develop products across many plateforms, including the Web, console, handheld, iPhone, iPad, TV and mobile platforms.

In 2007, GalaXseeds won the Octas Award for “Best Video Game”, awarded by the Federation of Informatics of Quebec. Developed for Corus Entertainment, GalaXseeds was Frima’s first Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) for children.

Frima has been noted as one of the fastest-growing companies in Canada[1].

Softography

Frima Studio produced three MMOGs in 2007, amongst some of Frima’s largest productions:

  • Buildabearville.com – produced for the Build-A-Bear company based in St-Louis, Missouri. Launched on December 11, 2007, this game reports more than 14 million players.
  • Neoshifters.com – Launched in October 2007, Neoshifters.com is an action game for pre-teens that promotes one of Mega Brands’ most popular toys, NEO Shifters.
  • Magi-Nation.net – is an MMOG based on one of the most popular children’s television series in Canada (developed by Cookie Jar).
