Denmark - Portugal relations refers to the current and historical relations between Denmark and Portugal. Denmark has an embassy in Lisbon.[1] Portugal has an embassy in Copenhagen.[2] Both countries are members of the European Union and NATO. On 14 December 1896, a treaty was signed between Denmark and Portugal, establishing diplomatic relations.[3] In 1984, Queen Margrethe II visited Portugal.[4] In 2008, Danish exports to Portugal amounted 2,5 billion DKK, and Portugese exports to Denmark amounted 2,3 billion DKK.[5]
