Sarah Solovay

Sarah Alison Solovay (born March 30, 1994) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who opened for John Mayer and Train on Mayer's "Battle Studies Tour" in Scranton, PA in July 2010.[1][2] Sarah was also featured on the 90210 soundtrack,[3] released in the fall of 2009.

Sarah's song, "You'll Never Know," aired on the premiere of MTV's "I Used to Be Fat."

In October 2010, Sarah and her song "Gone" were included on the list of entries to be nominated for a 2011 Grammy Award in the "Song of the Year" and "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" categories.[4] In June 2010, Sarah's song, "Gone" was selected for The New Writers CD released by The Songwriters Hall of Fame. "Gone" was also featured in Children's Hospital in addition to being featured on the NBC TV Show "Outlaw" in the Fall, 2010.

Sarah's song "Hearts Collide" was selected to be on the soundtrack,[5] released by CBS on October 13, 2009. Her song, "Flaws and All" was featured in Joe Dante's film, "The Hole."[6] Additionally, Sarah's song "All She Could Be" was selected to air on the Teen Vogue feature of Dakota Fanning.[7]

In 2008, Sarah's "Gone" won the New York Songwriters Circle "Young Songwriters Award" [8] and Sarah was a contestant in Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing" contest.[9] Also in 2008, Sarah performed at The CMJ Festival on October 22, 2008 which took place at The Canal Room in New York City.[10][11]

In 2009, Sarah was also a finalist in the International Songwriter's Competition.[12] That same year, she also performed at a benefit for the Light of Day Foundation.[13]
