Völs am Schlern (Template:Lang-it; Archaic (888 AD): Fellis from Old High German Felis (Rock)) is a municipality in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 60 km northeast of Trento and about 12 km east of Bolzano (Bozen).

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,118 and an area of 44.4 km².[3] According to the 2001 census, 95.56% of the population speak German, 3.99% Italian and 0.45% Ladin as first language.[4]

The municipality of Völs am Schlern contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Blumau (Prato all'Isarco), Oberaicha (Aica di Sopra), Peterbühl, St. Anton (S. Antonio), Obervöls (Fiè di Sopra), Prösels (Presule), Prösler Ried (Novale di Presule), St. Kathrein (Santa Caterina), St. Konstantin (San Costantino), Ums (Umes), Unteraicha (Aica di Sotto), Untervöls (Fiè di Sotto), and Völser Ried (Novale di Fiè).

Völs am Schlern borders the following municipalities: Kastelruth, Karneid, Ritten and Tiers.

To visit is the Prösels Castle.

Every summer Schlern International Music Festival brings internationally renowned musicians and students from all over the world to Vōls am Schlern.
