A Homeopath is a homeopathic practitioner.

Homeopaths are usually graduates from certain homeopathic schools or colleges. Some people consider a homeopath should only be a MD to have the responsibility to treat diseases[citation needed]. This is a widely argued subject[citation needed]. Hahnemman himself, the creator of homeopathy was an MD. However most schools in homeopathy treat and regard all students, i.e. doctors and non-doctors, as equal[citation needed]. In some countries it is needed for a non-doctor homeopath to complete courses in common medicine before practicing. There are also (in India mostly) educational systems which give a possibility to have a medical title in homeopathy which actually means that the education consists in homeopathic study plus common medicine disciplines all together[citation needed].

Some homeopathic organisations tend to organize themselves around the separation between doctor or non-doctor[citation needed].
