  1. Caranus (king), legendary progenitor of the royal house of Macedon
  2. Caranus (son of Philip II)
  3. Caranus (hetairos) of Alexander the Great
  4. Caranus probably a relative of the foregoing, whose wedding feast was described in a letter by Hippolochus
