Suggestions for Article Improvement

I'm really interested in improving this article, so I've put together a checklist of things that could be done:

  • Gameplay
    • Information on the game controls. The controls in this game are really unique, and I think that some elaboration on the gestures required to use the instruments are important, but it shouldn't be over the top and entering the realm of game guide material.
    • How Jam Mode works. This section doesn't really detail how arranging a song works, and the game's interface is already enigmatic to many people. Expanding this section should help more people understand how the game works. The "List of Songs" should simply be integrated into this section and not as a subsection. Mention of implementation of various styles, like March and Hawaiian, is a plus.
    • Minigames. Much of this seems like Original Research, so a few sources are required. The list format ought to be dropped altogether and rewritten as a few paragraphs.
  • Development
    • Pre-development, like initial ideas and motives
    • The actual development process, like experiments performed and any changes made to the design
    • Staff opinion on the development process
  • Reception
    • Impressions of the E3 2006 and 2008 demos.
    • The game's criticism outside reviews is a big one, especially from IGN.
    • Nintendo/Miyamoto's response to the reception
    • Very positive reception to the game should be highlighted, as it is arguably rare.

These are some key things I like to add to the article. If any new ones come up, I'll add them to the list. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 17:08, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
