7 Days (Template:Lang-fr) is a Canadian thriller film directed by Daniel Grou[2] and starring Rémy Girard, Claude Legault and Fanny Mallette.[3] The screenplay was written by Patrick Senécal and based on his novel Les sept jours du talion.[4]
Synopsis
A doctor seeks revenge by kidnapping, torturing and killing the man who raped and murdered his little daughter.[5]
Plot
Bruno Hamel a thirty-eight-year-old surgeon who lives in Drummondville with his wife Sylvie and their eight-year-old daughter Jasmine. He leads a normal life, until his daughter is raped and murdered, destroying the Hamel family's life. When the murderer is arrested, a terrible project germs in Bruno's mind. He plans to kidnap the murderer and make him pay for his crime. The day the murderer is being transported to his trial, Bruno, who prepared his plan in great detail, abducts the murderer and brings him to a cabin. He later sends to the police-chief a brief message, stating that the rapist and murderer of his daughter is going to be tortured for seven days before being executed. Once this task is complete, he will give himself up.[6]

Release and reception
The film premiered on 22 January 2010 at Sundance Film Festival[7], as World Premiere.[8]
Upon release, critics reacted pretty favorably towards the film. On rotten Tomatoes, the film has a tomatometer rating of 83%, based on 12 reviews.
