The Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology[1] (SCET) in Surat, Gujarat, is an engineering college part of the South Gujarat University system located on the banks of the Tapti River. The college was started in 1995 by the Sarvajanik Trust of Surat in the Athva Lines area that is also home to science, arts, commerce and law colleges of the South Gujarat University (now known as Veer Narmad South Gujarat University). Presently around 1600 students are studying in the institute.

When the college opened in 1995, it had departments of Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, Textile Technology and Processing. It was the first college to offer engineering degrees in Textiles, which is the major industry of Surat. Later in 1997, the college expanded and now also has departments of Computer Engineering, Eletrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control and Information Technology. The current principal of the college is Mr. Perci Engineer. An Environmental Science department has also started in the college

The College conducts techno festivals like 'KSHITIJ' which is one of the national level technology festival. It also has cultural festival named 'VERVE' where engineering students come forward with their outstanidng cultural talents that shows the college gives platform for lateral development of students.
