Okanagan—Coquihalla is a federal electoral district in the province of British Columbia, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 1997.
Geography
This electoral district includes the towns of Penticton, Merritt, Summerland, Logan Lake, West Kelowna and Peachland.
History
This riding was created in 1996 from parts of Fraser Valley East and Okanagan—Similkameen—Merritt ridings.
In 2003, it underwent slight boundary changes, with small parts added from Kamloops, Thompson and Highland Valleys and Kelowna ridings.

Current Member of Parliament
Its Member of Parliament, Stockwell Day, served as a Progressive Conservative cabinet minister in Alberta and as leader of the Canadian Alliance party, and was elected in the riding in a by-election in 2000. He is a member of the Conservative Party of Canada, which was created through a merger between the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and the Canadian Alliance. Day is widely seen as a social conservative. He is Canada's Minister of International Trade and the Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He is not standing for re-election in the 2011 federal election being held on May 2, 2011.
