Victorian Public Transport Development Authority is the independent body that will coordinate all aspects of an integrated transport system in Victoria, Australia.[1] [2] The authority will plan, co-ordinate, manage and administer metropolitan trams, buses and trains, regional trains and buses, replacing the current structure of multiple agencies. The body is expected to be fully established in July 2011.[3] Planning for the Melbourne Airport, Rowville and Doncaster rail lines will be overseen by a new transport authority.[4][5] The authority will also comprise a "High-Speed Rail Advocacy Unit".[6]
