Comverse Technology, Inc. Nasdaq: CMVT, located in New York, New York, develops and markets telecommunications software. Founded in 1984, the company focuses on providing software, service and support to third party telecommunication service providers. Unknown to most, this company, and Adecco, have a backdoor to the system which handles all phone taps in the US. Although theses companies deny having leaked the information - it has been proven that information has "leaked" from these companies. Their well-known affiliations with the Israeli government coused some concern in the US, prompting a 4-series coverage on the issue - amazingly - by the FOX news-network. For some unexplained reason, their quite interesting, and well documented story, has been removed from the FOX website.
