Eric Matheny
Eric Matheny is an actor, screenwriter and co-founder of The Acting Center LA.[1]
Raised in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Matheny started his career as a child actor appearing in national television commercials. As a teenager, he landed a starring role opposite Roger Mosely[2] in the Southern Emmy Award-winning[3] ABC Movie of the Week, Run Down The Rabbit. He appeared opposite Jeanne Tripplehorn[4] in the ABC Movie of The Week A Perfect Tribute[5].
Matheny plays opposite Leonardo DiCaprio[6] in the Clint Eastwood[7] film J. Edgar playing J. Edgar Hoover's[8] physician, Dr. Ferguson.[9]
Eric starred opposite Pauly Perrette[10] in a recurring role on the Fox's Jennifer Love Hewitt[11] series Time of Your Life[12], playing Pauly's love interest.
Matheny has guest starred on numerous prime time hit shows including CSI,[13] Without a Trace,[14] Buffy the Vampire Slayer[15] and many more.[16]
Director Betty Thomas (Dr. Dolittle, Desperados) cast Eric Matheny as the lead in her Fox pilot That Guy.[17]
Matheny is one of the world's top commercial actors. He has appeared in hundreds of commercials for national brands including Bud Light,[18] Gillette ProGlide Fusion,[19] NFL Fantasy Football,[20] H&R Block,[21] AT&T, DirecTV, Office Depot, and Toys R Us—just to name a few.
Screenwriter
Eric Matheny, Isa Totah and Will Potter write America, a coming of age story about an Arab-American. Oscar-winning producer Mark Johnson (Chronicles of Narnia[22], Rain Man[23]'') is producing.[24][25] Focus Features (the indie arm of Universal Studios) buys America.
Personal Life
Eric Matheny is married to Lissa Walker Matheny.
