Disney Channel Games 2007
The second annual Disney Channel Games ended in August 2007. Hosted at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, stars from international Disney Channels joined the teams, making room for the new Yellow Team. In addition, each team played for a charity (including Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-a-Wish Foundation and Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation). Disney promoted these games as environmentally friendly.
Contestants from the first games who did not return for the second include Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Kay Panabaker, and Anneliese van der Pol. Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were not available for the event. Several new additions from new Disney Channel Original Series, Disney Channel Original Movies, and across the globe joined the teams, including Maiara Walsh and Jason Dolley of Cory in the House. Each team member did not receive a nickname, although Brenda Song remained a captain and Dylan Sprouse, Kyle Massey, and Corbin Bleu took over for the other teams. Phill Lewis and Brian Stepanek returned as hosts while Cory in the House's Madison Pettis served as a guest judge on one occasion. Several voice actors of animated characters are also seen in the audience of the games. They include Nancy Cartwright and Grey DeLisle (Todd and Riley), Dante Basco (Jake Long), John DiMaggio (Fu Dog and Dr. Drakken), Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible) and cheerleaders, and J.P. Manoux (Kuzco), among several others.
The winning team was the Green Team and a donation of $25,000 was made to The Boys and Girls Club Of America. The other three teams were also awarded with $25,000, resulting in all teams donating equal amounts of money to their charity.

Disney Channel Games 2008
The 2008 Disney Channel Games took place in the summer of 2008. The games were held July 27 through August 30, 2008. The Disney Channel Games had two extra hosts Cody Linley and Meaghan Jette Martin. Unlike the previous two games, the 2008 edition of the games only featured 5 events and online hosts. Dylan and Cole Sprouse missed the first episode as they "missed" the bus.
For this edition, thirty-seven Disney Channel stars from around the world convened at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for "Disney Channel Games," featuring relay races, obstacle courses and other events in five special half-hour telecasts, "Disney Channel Games," were presented each week beginning Sunday, July 27 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel and was hosted by Brian Stepanek (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody). Phill Lewis did not host the games in 2008. The special telecasts closed with a post-Games concert featuring performances by Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt.
The event was filmed at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and benefited four children's charities: Make-A-Wish Foundation, Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation, UNICEF and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Each of the five subsequent "Disney Channel Games" 2008 special telecasts were presented Saturdays (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) through August 30. The 27 Disney Channels worldwide aired the five special telecasts thereafter with local Disney Channel stars hosting their country's telecast. The "Inside Track," exclusively on www.disneychannelgames.com, hosted by Meaghan Jette Martin (Camp Rock) and Cody Linley (Hannah Montana), went behind the scenes of the Disney Channel Games 2008. DisneyChannel.com users could vote for their favorite players and dive into the action via online versions of the Disney Channel Games seen each week.
In the end, with the announcement made by Miley Cyrus during the final closing ceremony, it was Team Inferno that won the Disney Channel Games Cup.

End of event
A Disney spokesperson confirmed on February 4, 2009 that the Disney Channel Games would not be held in that year due to lack of actor availability due to program filming, concert tours, time off and other reasons. Instead the network has instead devoted charity efforts under the Disney's Friends for Change initiative. Likewise, an edition in 2010 was unplanned.[7]
Friends For Change Games 2011
It has been announced that that the Friends for Change Games would replace the Disney Channel Games in 2011. Over 30 participants from Disney Channel, Disney XD and around the world will be competing. Tiffany Thornton and Jason Earles will be the hosts.
