The song

"Like That" is a song from the Black Eyed Peas that features guest vocals by Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Cee-Lo, and John Legend. The song, although having a music video, is not an official single, it is the B-side to Pump It. This is the second time that The Black Eyed Peas has done this, with the first being Don't Lie/My Humps. Will.i.am himself mentioned the song "is more underground hip-hop, where our roots came from ...". The song doesn't feature vocals from Fergie, a big change from the previous singles from Monkey Business. The single has yet to be released in the UK.

The Video

"Like That"

Launch.com premiered the video on January 3, 2006 and it is currently being circulated heavily on music TV. The video is based on a graffiti style and begins with each rapper appearing on screen against a scratchy, heavily graphic produced backdrop. Q-tip comes in saying "Wow, we're in stereo," then the beat drops. As the rappers sing their solos, some of the words are mentioned and hightlighted in graphics beneath them. The overall feel resembles American currency, such a one dollar bill, with the greens and the style of outline and graphics used.

The video was filmed against nothing but bluescreen and It was directed by Syndrome & Nabil Elderkin.

Samples

It samples an Astrud Gilberto song named "Who Can I Turn To? (When Nobody Needs Me)"
