Tori Vega is the title character of the show. Tori is 16 years old. Tori attends a performing arts school called Hollywood Arts. She previously attended Sherwood High School. While trying to help her big sister Trina (who goes to Hollywood Arts) with her performance for the school's big showcase, she befriends her sister's partner André Harris (who Trina called Andrew) who quickly becomes her best friend. On the night of the showcase, after Trina becomes swollen as an allergic reaction to Chinese tea (that was supposed to make her sing better). André volunteers Tori to take her place. Nervous at first, Tori goes through with it and puts on an amazing performance. Afterwards the principal offers Tori a chance to attend Hollywood Arts. Tori is nervous at first, but after some assurance from André and her family and a standing ovation from the crowd, she happily accepts. She is depicted as creative, responsible, caring and friendly, though she can be sneaky and revengeful, going as low as to manipulate her friends and family. But she loves helping her friends when they need her. On her first day she meets her other friends Cat Valentine, Beck Oliver, Robbie Shapiro, and "frenemy" Jade West. Tori makes almost all of her friends (and frenemy) on her first day at Hollywood Arts. Tori became Jade's enemy after Tori spilled the coffee on Beck, Jade's boyfriend, and tried to rub it off him, but Jade came in and thought she was trying to flirt with him. Jade then spills iced coffee on Tori in front of the class. She contemplates leaving, but after talking with Andre and Trina, she decides to stay. She gets revenge on Jade by kissing Beck during an improv exercise in front of Jade and the rest of the class. She has frequently tried to make peace with Jade, such as not telling on her when Jade pretends that Tori hurt her, helping Jade get back together with Beck, or when she volunteered to help Jade put on her play after the teachers wouldn't let her perform it at the school. It is shown in the episode The Wood, that Jade and Tori know Spanish, when they smashed up Festus' car and had to carry him in a wheelbarrow. He asked for entertainment so they sang and he told them to sing in Spanish. Tori is portrayed by Victoria Justice.

Tori appeared in all episodes of series so far. Tori will also appear with the Victorious cast and the iCarly cast in iParty with Victorious June 11, 2011.

Andre Harris is Tori's musically gifted best friend. He likes to make jokes, but no one (not even Tori) laughs at them. Andre is an aspiring musician, and loves to perform and takes his music seriously. He can play almost any instrument, but prefers the keyboard/piano and can be seen playing at all of Tori's performances. Andre also knows how to play the french horn and the guitar. He is also an amazing singer and songwriter, as he has co-written every song Tori has sung. In the episode "The Diddly-Bops" he wrote the song the group sang called "Favorite Foods" and then switched the song into a different one called "Song 2You" and performed it at school which got him a record deal at the end of the episode. Tori and Andre became friends when he is partnered with Trina for the school's big showcase and they instantly became friends. He is one of the main reasons why Tori got into and went to Hollywood Arts, as he was the one who volunteered Tori to perform in Trina's place. When she had second thoughts about going he got the whole crowd to convince her to go with a standing ovation. After Jade spills coffee on Tori thinking she was flirting with Beck, Andre comforted her and when she thought about leaving, he told her she was special, and she belonged at Hollywood Arts. This shows that Andre believes in Tori and supports her. He is also the guy Tori and the others come to for help on anything and he is always willing to listen to and help with their problems. He has a grandmother named Charlotte who is afraid of almost everything, and a cousin named Kendra who is an actor as seen in "A Film by Dale Squires". He is also close friends with Cat, Beck, Robbie and Jade. Many viewers think that him and Tori should become more than friends, because of how close they are. Andre is portrayed by Leon Thomas III.

Robbie treats Rex like he is a real person, and the others join in as well. He constantly tells people that Rex isn't a puppet. Robbie is considered extremely nerdy, shy, and socially awkward. He often complements people on their outfits, regardless of their gender. He is extremely insecure, and is shown to be afraid of those he considers more powerful than him (which is almost anybody). He tends to easily fall for any girl that would give him any kind of attention. His only relative that is ever seen is his grandmother, who he calls 'Mam-ma'. Robbie has a crush on Tori. Jade West is Beck Oliver's girlfriend. She and Tori are "frenemies". She and Tori got off on the wrong foot on Tori's first day at Hollywood Arts, as she thought Tori was flirting with Beck after Tori accidentally spilled coffee on Beck. Jade is shown to be a mean girl, calling people names and snapping at others, though she is shown to be forming a friendship with Tori and being much more tolerant of the others. She and Beck have been together for two years. Despite their opposite personalities, they show that they love each other no matter what. Jade is very territorial and protective of Beck, and gets easily jealous when she sees Beck talking to other girls or girls hitting on him. She has said on her profile video on theslap " If you're a guy, you're probably not cool enough to hang out with him, if you're a girl stay away from Beck." Although considered popular, Jade is shown to be extremely dark and negative.[2] Despite being a bit cruel, she is shown to be a hard worker and caring to the people she loves the most. She is also an amazing actor and singer, but she is shown to be a very good playwright. Jade frequently wears fake highlights in her hair, usually blue or white, and has two visible piercings on her face, that she got 45 minutes after her mother told her she couldn't. She also has a tattoo of a star on her right arm and another one, although it's unknown where it is or what it's of.[3] Jade has a fascination with scissors, and can be shown cutting things, such as a trash can and flowers. Her locker is decorated with mini-scissors, and as seen in "Wi-fi in the Sky", her online video chat screen name is "ScissorLuv". Jade is shown to be friends with Andre and Cat, and sort of Robbie and Tori. She frequently mimics Tori with a Southern accent, which Tori always protests she does not have. In season 2 Jade loses all her white and red highlights and only wears blue highlights. It's unknown if her blue highlights are real or fake, most likely they are fake. Also, Jade's hair gets darker going from dark brown to black. It is shown along with Tori that they both know Spanish as they sang for Festus, after they smashed up his car. Jade is portrayed by Elizabeth Gillies.

She screams "What's that supposed to mean?" when offended very often, which has become a catchphrase of hers.[4] Cat often says very random and strange things, which leaves the others confused or annoyed. She likes to mention her eccentric brother in things she says. She is friends with Tori, André, Jade, Robbie and Beck. She has bright red hair, that she dyed to resemble her favorite snack, a red velvet cupcake, to which André nicknamed her "Little Red" which she took offense to at first, but after he explained it to her, she ended up liking calling it "creative".[5] In one episode (Rex Dies), she is sent to the mental ward, after Jade suggests she "make friends with the nice lady at the desk" to get her out of the way. Last appearanceTBA
Portrayed byDaniella Monet
In-universe information
SpeciesHuman
GenderFemale
OccupationStudent, Singer, Dancer, Actress
FamilyMr. & Mrs. Vega (parent), Tori (sister)
NationalityAmerican

Trina Vega is Tori's older sister, who attends Hollywood Arts. In the pilot episode, Trina was supposed to perform in the big showcase with Andre. After an allergic reaction to a Chinese herb gargle, Tori takes Trina's place in the showcase which leads to Tori enrolling at Hollywood Arts. Trina believes that acting and singing is her destiny, despite her being quite talentless. For some reason, she has been the focus of attention until recently, though she clearly has no talent. She has an attitude of a (wannabe) celebrity, and acts like a total diva, believing everything should be about her, she even said on The Slap she wants to be a movie star "because movie screens make the actors face bigger," and in the pilot episode she threw a tantrum about being partnered up with Andre. Trina is quite selfish and shallow a lot of the time, like in The Birth Week Song, where Tori works really hard on a song for Trina's birthday, but Trina doesn't appreciate it, saying that it's not a real present because Tori didn't pay money for it; in fact, she even sold it to a record producer as she took the credit for writing and singing it. She is often willing to degrade herself to ridiculous extents for fame. Trina is shown to be kind and caring in some episodes though, like in "Tori the Zombie", where she drives 2 hours to help get Tori's zombie mask off her face, although she was late because she stopped for ice cream, or in "Wok Star", where she pretends to be a celebrity to make Mrs. Lee late for Jade's play. On "Begging on Your Knees", she also warns Tori that her class partner and date, Ryder Daniels, might just be using her, so she can be concerned about Tori when she wants to be. When she was younger, she had a bladder infection. Trina is portrayed by Daniella Monet.

Trina was absent in the episodes "Robarazzi", "Beck's Big Break", "The Great Ping-Pong Scam", "Sleepover at Sikowitz's" and "Beck Falls for Tori".

NationalityAmerican

Rex Powers is Robbie's alter ego who is a puppet. Since Robbie is too shy to speak for himself most of the time, he talks as Rex. Rex, of course has no filter and doesn't like to be called a "dummy" or a "puppet". He says whats on his mind and doesn't hold back or beat around the bush. He hits on every girl at Hollywood Arts but claims he never hits on Cat because she is weird, and on Jade because she is scary. In the episode "Rex Dies" He gets sucked into a wind machine and is taken to the hospital (even though he's a puppet). Rex is shown to have a huge crush on Tori and constantly hits on her, although she is annoyed. In "Sleepover at Sikowitz" Tori kisses Rex when he hits on her. Rex is sometimes seen slightly moving or talking when not being held by Robbie, hinting he may not be a puppet. An example is in "The Birthweek Song", Tori is trying to find her sister a present for her birthday and Rex shouts from inside Robbie's book bag,"Just get the girl the massage helmet!". Tori quickly responds by kicking the bag and Rex yells in pain, "Ah, my ribs!". Rex is voiced by Jake Farrow, who is uncredited for the role.[6]

Rex has appeared in every episode to date.

Their dad is a cop, and Tori and Trina like to point it out at times. Mr. & Mrs. Vega are portrayed by Jim Pirri and Jennifer Carta respectively.

Mrs. Harris

Mrs Harris is Andre's abnormal grandmother. Andre has mention in "Survival Of The Hottest" that his grandmother had lost her mind six years ago.
